Overview
Salary: £40 - £45,000 DOE
21 days holiday + bank holidays (these increase with service), standard pension, overtime paid at an hourly rate, company bonus.
The role is based in Mansfield after initial training; hybrid working is available; however, the successful candidate must live within a 15-mile radius of Mansfield.
Our client is established and well recognised in their field; they manufacture bespoke conveyor and handling systems for a variety of customers in the FMCG industry.
Responsibilities:
- Provide innovative design concepts, value engineer solutions, and manufacturing drawing packages using Autodesk Inventor 3D and AutoCAD 2D CAD software.
- Work on and be a key driver on multiple bespoke projects, from proposal and concept design through to production and installation.
- Identify suitable suppliers for special parts and equipment, and implement accurate working assembly drawings, cutting lists, and BoM’s.
- Travel to sites for design survey and follow-up visits.
- Communicate effectively as part of a team; be flexible in approach to tackling problems and issues.
- On-site engagement with customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Mechanical engineering design background.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels; able to converse with customers and site personnel.
- Strong mechanical design skills; pneumatic design experience preferred.
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing problems and needs.
