Maintenance operative – Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Double day shift pattern – due to working hours own transport is essential
Salary: c£31,300 plus excellent large company benefits
Initially commencing on a temporary contract but after just 12 weeks trial period you have the opportunity to secure a permanent contract subject to satisfactory performance.
We are currently recruiting for a leading Mansfield manufacturing company; due to ongoing expansion they need a maintenance operative to support their busy machine shop.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring the Machine Shop is clean and tidy, by conducting daily tasks set by Machine Shop Maintenance Leader
- Your daily tasks will include ensuring the machine swarf bins are emptied, topping up and maintaining machinery oil and coolant levels
- Assist in the routine services of machines when required
- To carry out routine housekeeping
- To pick up and drop off tooling and equipment to local subcontractors
- To run CNC Machines if needed
- Assist in Ancillary departments when needed
- Any other duties and ad hoc project work as and when required
Experience / Qualifications
- Must have basic engineering experience or be a part qualified engineer
- Effective communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ensure all work is fit for purpose and to tight deadlines
- Ability to work as a team
