Our client is looking to recruit a number of FLT Drivers due to increased business demand. You will be driving powered industrial trucks to load, unload, and move stock and deliveries to various locations within the warehouse, such as storage areas and loading docks. You need to be observant, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining focus, stamina, and organization in a demanding environment.
Applicants must pass internal assessments, including practical and written tests, before starting. A positive attitude, self-motivation, independence, safety consciousness, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, busy environment are essential.
Previous FLT driving experience is required, and an in-date FLT license (ITSAAR or equivalent) is preferred. However, in-house licenses and/or expired licenses will also be considered.
Duties will include:
- Moving goods packed on pallets around the warehouse
- Stacking goods in the correct storage bays and racking following inventory control instructions
- Ensuring loads are secure
- Completing paperwork for delivery notes and stock control as needed
- Scanning pallets and maintaining accurate records of stock movement (training provided)
- Operating the truck safely and performing daily checks
- Reporting breakdowns, spills, or malfunctions to the manager
- Assisting with other loading activities as required
