Ref 11027 Quality Inspector Mansfield, Nottinghamshire £23, 750 (based on 35 hours per week) plus overtime (please note after training your salary will increase to £26,845 based on 35 hours per week) 4 on 4 off days only Our client, an established family-owned business, who are going through a substantial growth period have identified the need to recruit a Quality Inspector this is an excellent opportunity as the company is investing heavily into the site with robotics and automation, whilst continuing to be committed to their customers, staff and the environment. They are based on the outskirts of Mansfield so own transport is essential due to location. If you want to be part of a highly focused environment, where attention to detail, excellent skills and diligence is required this could be the role for you! Key Responsibilities for the Quality Inspector * Recording and updating data on deflected items, waste control etc * Completing weight sheets for reports, regarding product origin * Understanding the customers different products /packaging * Daily Tally for report to be compiled for QC checks completed * Scale verification check * Temperature checks on product and weekly calibration * Barcode check – cross check the information against the retail code sheet. * Toolbox checks – check that all equipment that should be in place is in place. * Carrying out internal GMP Experience and capabilities for the Quality Inspector * Previous experience of working in the food industry is essential this would suit someone who has production experience looking for that next step * Ideally previous experience or knowledge of working to BRC and retail customer standards * The ability to communicate effectively with all staff members * Highly numeric with strong data and statistical analysis and written reporting skills * Good multi-tasking skills * Ensuring right first time culture * Confident, professional and tenacious * You will be comfortable working in a chilled food processing environment Key skills for the Quality Inspector * Data Analysis and interpretation * Research * Attention to Detail * Numeric * Communication Skills both written and verbal * Competent in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family firm who are looking to grow and develop their business, they offer all employees continuous support with personal development and ongoing training available.
