The role is hybrid 3 days office 2 days hybrid must live within 45 minutes of postcode. £28,000 - £34,000 DOE.
Due to our clients’ ongoing expansion plans they need to recruit a Logistics Administrator who will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the efficient movement of goods sourced from our Far East supply chain. This role ensures timely delivery of shipments, maintains accurate logistics records, liaises with transport providers and suppliers, and manages customs clearance processes to ensure compliance with import and export regulations.
Key responsibilities of Logistics Administrator:
- Coordinate international shipments from suppliers to the Logistics Centre or direct to customer premises.
- Arrange transportation and monitor deliveries to ensure on-time performance.
- Track shipments and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
- Resolve delivery issues, delays, and transportation discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate logistics and inventory records within company systems.
- Raising purchase orders for goods and services.
- Prepare and review import and export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping documents.
- Coordinate customs clearance activities with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and relevant authorities.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export legislation, and company policies.
- Monitor duty payments, taxes, and customs-related charges.
- Resolve customs queries, inspections, and clearance delays efficiently.
- Maintain records of customs documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Stay informed of changes to customs regulations and trade requirements.
Skills & Experience for the Logistics Administrator:
- Previous experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or supply chain administration.
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs clearance processes.
- Strong understanding of shipping documentation and international trade requirements.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
