We have a fantastic opportunity to join an established and expanding food company based on the outskirts of Chesterfield, Derbyshire. They need an experienced Supply Chain Manager who wants to be part of something big, drive forward change and roll up their sleeves to get the job done.

As the Supply Chain Manager, you’ll take full ownership of planning, coordinating, and optimising all supply chain activities that keep our factory and commercial operations running smoothly. You will oversee materials procurement, production planning, inventory control, goods-in/goods-out operations, and warehouse management. This is a hands-on, fast-moving role that plays a critical part in our continued growth as a purpose-led food brand.

Duties of the Supply Chain Manager

  • Materials & Procurement: Source, order, and manage all raw materials, packaging, and consumables. Help drive our cost saving agenda through various procurement initiatives and tenders.
  • Production Planning: Translate sales forecasts into short & longer term production plans, ensuring we maintain strong supply levels, as well as efficient production plans for the factory. Own the factory production planning process, ensuring we balance strong stock & supply levels, versus efficient production plans.
  • Inventory Management: Own raw material & finished goods stock accuracy, as well as stock control procedures.
  • Warehouse, Goods-In & Goods-Out: Oversee all warehouse operations. Manage goods-in including quality checks, as well as our goods-out process.

  • Experience in Food Manufacturing supply chain, operations and planning management.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, production planning, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics.
  • Confident with ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on self-starter able to manage multiple priorities, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout.
