We're looking for a proactive and detail-focused Financial Accountant to join our UK Finance team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play an important role in keeping our financial reporting accurate, timely, and insightful.

From management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations to VAT returns and month-end activities, you'll help ensure our finance function runs smoothly and supports the wider business effectively.

Alongside core accounting responsibilities, you'll work closely with operational teams, contribute to process improvements, and help us make better use of technology and automation.

Whether it's through Yardi ERP, Office 365, or AI-enabled tools, we're always looking for smarter ways of working and we'd love someone who shares that mindset.

To support strong collaboration and team connection, the position is based in the office three days per week, with Monday as a core team day.

The Role

As our Financial Accountant, you'll be involved in the day-to-day accounting activities that keep the business moving.

You'll take ownership of key reporting tasks, help maintain the accuracy of our financial data, and provide valuable information that supports decision-making across the organisation.

You'll also work closely with colleagues across the business, supporting Accounts Payable processes, assisting with tenant ledger reconciliations, and identifying opportunities to improve the way we work.

About You

We’re looking for a finance professional with strong accounting experience, a proactive approach, and a genuine interest in improving how things are done.

Ideally, you'll have

  • Experience in a Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, or Assistant Financial Accountant role.
  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent), actively studying towards full qualification.
  • A solid understanding of month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience producing management accounts and analysing financial performance.
  • Knowledge of VAT returns and reporting requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence using finance systems.
  • An interest in process improvement, automation, and emerging technologies, including AI.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across the business.
