We're on the lookout for a proactive Health & Safety Advisor who's passionate about creating a positive safety culture, building strong relationships and leading by example. You'll be the go-to person for all things health and safety, working alongside the Head of H&S to support teams across a variety of exciting projects. As a Health & Safety Advisor your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the deputy and trusted support to the Head of Health & Safety
  • Leading, coordinating and supporting a Health, Safety and Environmental team
  • Conducting site inspections, audits and pre-audits across multiple business locations
  • Supporting project teams during pre-construction and planning phases
  • Identifying risks and helping establish safe systems of work before projects commence
  • Reviewing and monitoring the quality of Health & Safety documentation and team outputs

We are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor with the following skills and experience:

  • Proven Health & Safety experience in civil engineering, construction, infrastructure or other related sectors
  • Working knowledge of UK H&S legislation and best practice
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 qualification)
  • Ability to lead the team, mentor, guide, coach and develop them
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections and investigations
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

In return, the successful Health & Safety Advisor will receive a salary of £50,000 to £55,000 plus the following benefits:
