As a CDM Principal Designer, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing health and safety in the pre-construction phase
- Assessing machinery needs, access restrictions, and work schedule limitations
- Collecting essential data for the project initiation, such as ground survey details
- Traveling to sites, engaging with clients and suppliers
- Conducting project CDM reviews and preparing pre-construction information
- Site assessments, report creation, client advice, and guidance
- Conducting CDM workshops with colleagues & performing site health & safety reviews
We’re looking for a CDM Principal Designer with the following skills and experience:
- Full UK driving license & access to own vehicle
- Ideally 3-5 years’ experience working in construction H&S risk management
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction
- CMaPS or Tech IOSH accreditations is preferred
- Experience as a Principal Designer under CDM 2015 regulations/duties
- The capability to visit sites to assess potential H&S risks and buildability constraints
- Practice in preparing & updating pre-construction information & CDM Risk Register
In return, the successful CDM Principal Designer will receive a salary of up to £50,000, plus the following benefits:
- Travel expenses
- Early finish on Friday

- 35 days holiday
