As a CDM Principal Designer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing health and safety in the pre-construction phase
  • Assessing machinery needs, access restrictions, and work schedule limitations
  • Collecting essential data for the project initiation, such as ground survey details
  • Traveling to sites, engaging with clients and suppliers
  • Conducting project CDM reviews and preparing pre-construction information
  • Site assessments, report creation, client advice, and guidance
  • Conducting CDM workshops with colleagues & performing site health & safety reviews

We’re looking for a CDM Principal Designer with the following skills and experience:

  • Full UK driving license & access to own vehicle
  • Ideally 3-5 years’ experience working in construction H&S risk management
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction
  • CMaPS or Tech IOSH accreditations is preferred
  • Experience as a Principal Designer under CDM 2015 regulations/duties
  • The capability to visit sites to assess potential H&S risks and buildability constraints
  • Practice in preparing & updating pre-construction information & CDM Risk Register

In return, the successful CDM Principal Designer will receive a salary of up to £50,000, plus the following benefits:
