As an Assistant Café Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Café Manager with day-to-day running of the café
  • Assist in supervising staff, volunteers and learners during daily operations
  • Ensure the café environment is safe, clean, welcoming and professionally presented
  • Support adults with learning disabilities and autism within the café environment
  • Assist with rotating/controlling/ordering stock and receiving deliveries
  • Deputise for the Café Manager during periods of absence

We are looking for an Assistant Café Manager with the following skills and experience:

  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism is desirable
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Care Quality Commission Standards is ideal
  • Ability to build rapport with people by establishing connections and showing interest
  • Ability to recognise and report situations which may be a safeguarding or protection issue
  • Strong work ethic with ability to operate proactively and use initiative
  • Ability to support, induct and orientate new colleagues to cover the job role

In return, the successful Assistant Café Manager will receive a salary of £23,800, plus the following benefits:
