Fresh People are recruiting a Tax Senior to join an established and growing professional services and advisory firm in Peterborough.
This is a broad mixed-tax opportunity covering corporate, personal and private client work. Our client is open-minded on qualification background and is particularly interested in someone relatively newly qualified who is keen to learn, broaden their tax knowledge and take on greater responsibility as they develop.
Importantly, you do not necessarily need to come from a pure tax background. A qualified accountant looking to move into and develop a career in tax will also be considered.
The Role Working across a varied client portfolio, you will gain exposure to:
Corporate and personal tax
Private client tax matters
Tax compliance and advisory work
Preparation and review of tax computations and returns
Supporting clients with tax queries and planning
Working directly with clients as your experience develops
Supporting more senior tax professionals on complex assignments
Developing broader technical tax knowledge
Increasing client ownership and responsibility over time
About You AAT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified
Ideally around 1–2 years' post-qualified experience
Tax experience advantageous but not essential for a qualified accountant looking to retrain
Strong technical and numerical ability
Interested in developing across both corporate and personal/private client tax
Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
Bright, commercially minded and willing to learn
Looking for a role offering genuine development and increasing responsibility
The opportunity to build broad mixed-tax expertise across corporate, personal and private client work. This could be particularly attractive to either an existing Tax Senior wanting broader exposure or an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant looking to specialise and build their career in tax within an advisory-led environment.
