Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day production operations within our clients packhouse, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high standards of quality, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure production targets are met in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. Key Responsibilities * Supervise daily operations in the packhouse, managing staff schedules, workflow, and task assignments to meet production goals. * Ensure product quality by overseeing packing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices to maintain our high standards. * Monitor equipment and resources, coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure all machinery is operational and safe. * Enforce safety standards, promoting a safe work environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines and conducting regular safety checks. * Train and develop team members on processes, standards, and safety protocols, providing ongoing feedback and performance evaluations. * Manage inventory and resources to minimize waste and optimize production efficiency. * Report on production metrics and KPIs, tracking performance against targets and identifying opportunities for improvement. * Collaborate with other departments, including Quality Control, Logistics, and HR, to ensure seamless operations. Qualifications: * Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role within the fresh produce or food manufacturing industry. * Strong leadership and organizational skills with a track record of effectively managing a team. * Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in a production setting. * Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving processes. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, working 4 on 4 off on days If you have the experience we are looking for in Fresh produce within a packhouse environement as either a shift Manager or Packhouse Supervisor we would like to hear from you today
