Fresh People are recruiting for a well-established fresh produce business based in Maidstone, Kent, operating within a fast-paced FMCG environment supplying major UK retailers. Due to continued growth, a Technical Manager is required to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a customer-facing role responsible for managing technical standards, supplier performance, and ensuring product safety, quality, and compliance across the supply chain.
The Role
You will work closely with senior technical leadership, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain high standards, support audits, manage technical documentation, and drive continuous improvement across quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supplier relationships and drive technical performance
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with retailer standards
- Deliver KPI reporting across quality, complaints, shelf life, and waste
- Maintain and manage technical documentation, specifications, and records
- Communicate quality issues and supply challenges to internal teams and customers
