Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established fresh produce business based in Sittingbourne, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a fast-paced FMCG environment supporting production and operational reliability across site machinery, conveyors and equipment. The role will involve both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support within a busy operational setting.

You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs and inspections across production and operational equipment to ensure machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and site operations continue to run efficiently. You will support both preventative maintenance schedules and reactive engineering activities across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across machinery and operational equipment
  • Respond to machinery breakdowns and complete reactive repairs efficiently
  • Diagnose and fault find on mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Support conveyor systems, production machinery and operational equipment reliability
  • Complete maintenance inspections and maintain accurate engineering records
  • Work safely in line with health and safety regulations
  • Liaise with contractors and support engineering compliance activities where required
