Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded Junior Fresh Produce Buyer to join their buying team. This isnt simply a role placing repeat orders with the same suppliers. Were looking for someone naturally curious someone who wants to discover new varieties, specialist growers, emerging food trends and exciting products that could add something different to our clients range. You dont necessarily need years of buying experience. Fresh produce, foodservice, wholesale, hospitality or purchasing experience would be an advantage, but attitude, commercial instinct and a genuine passion for food are equally important. The role starts at 4:00am, reflecting the fast-moving nature of fresh produce and giving you the opportunity to be ahead of daily availability, pricing and market movements.
