Are you a commercially focused Finance Manager looking to take on a pivotal role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? We are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a leading business in the fresh food industry, providing key financial insights and analysis to drive business performance.

The Role:

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for management accounting, forecasting, commercial analysis, and decision support for the retail division. Working closely with Commercial Directors, Procurement teams, and senior finance leaders, you will play a critical role in identifying risks and opportunities to maximise commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Finance Business Partner, providing support, challenge, and insight to commercial teams.
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, including forecasts, budgets, variance analysis, and performance reviews.
  • Manage margin analysis, consignment reconciliation, and commercial department performance reporting.
  • Present financial insights in Weekly Trading Board meetings to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and drive process improvements and efficiencies across financial operations.
  • Ensure strong financial controls and compliance with internal and external auditing requirements.
  • Support senior finance leadership with ad-hoc financial analysis and project work.

About You:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA preferred) with experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or traded commodities.
  • Strong financial analysis and business partnering skills, with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
  • Flexible, commercially astute, and results-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
  • Experience in the fresh produce industry is desirable but not essential.
