We are working on behalf of a well-established, fast-moving business in North Kent seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead warehouse, inventory, intake and logistics operations. This is a hands-on senior leadership role requiring strong warehouse management, stock control, people leadership, operational planning and logistics experience within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily warehouse operations including intake, storage, picking, dispatch and stock control.
- Manage inventory accuracy, cycle counts, stock reconciliations and traceability.
- Oversee inbound goods, intake planning and operational flow.
- Manage outbound logistics, delivery performance and transport partners.
- Ensure efficient use of warehouse space, labour and equipment.
- Maintain strong health, safety, hygiene and compliance standards.
- Lead, coach and develop warehouse, logistics and operational teams.
- Monitor KPIs including OTIF, stock accuracy, productivity, cost and service levels.
- Drive continuous improvement across warehouse efficiency, process flow and operational performance.
- Work closely with planning, operations, technical, commercial and finance teams.
- Support audits, compliance requirements and operational reporting.
Experience Required
- Proven warehouse and logistics management experience.
- Experience within food, FMCG, manufacturing, wholesale, distribution or a fast-moving supply chain environment.
- Strong people leadership and team development skills.
- Good understanding of inventory control, stock accuracy and operational KPIs.
- Experience managing intake, dispatch and transport/logistics activity.
- Strong health & safety and compliance awareness.
- Confident working in a fast-paced, deadline-led operational environment.
- Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Good systems ability, ideally including WMS, ERP or stock management systems.
Desirable
- Experience within temperature-controlled, chilled, frozen or perishable goods environments.
- Food safety, BRC, HACCP or retailer compliance exposure.
- Experience managing 3PLs, carriers or fleet operations.
- Continuous improvement, Lean or 5S experience.
