Fresh People are recruiting for a Supply Chain Coordinator on behalf of our client, a well-established business within the Fresh Produce industry based in Maidstone, Kent. In this key role, you will support the Procurement Managers and work closely with the Account Management team to ensure the efficient movement of fresh produce from suppliers to customers. This position is critical to the smooth operation of the supply chain, focusing on inventory, logistics coordination, and system administration.
Working Sunday - Thursday (Sun working from home) Mon-Fri whilst training.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in Supply Chain or Procurement within Fresh Produce, Food Manufacturing, or FMCG
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, with Prophet ERP system experience being highly advantageous
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting a fast-paced supply chain environment
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with category suppliers to arrange cover and maintain service levels
- Maintain service level KPIs and internal trackers
- Set up new customers and products in the ERP system
- Manage supplier load plans and confirm order amendments
- Coordinate grower communications to confirm volumes and varieties
- Generate Purchase Orders for arrivals and administer delivery documentation
- Share packing programs and raw material schedules with sites and logistics
- Ensure packing sites are stocked adequately to meet customer orders
- Oversee stock inventory from 3rd party packers and communicate with logistics
- Manage customer crate orders, hire/de-hire, and stock control processes
- Maintain accurate arrivals data and assist with seasonal reporting
- Process grower invoices, fruit costs, and other supply chain documentation
