Fresh People are recruiting for an experienced Projects & Fit-Out Sales Manager within the commercial construction, interiors and fit-out sector. You will be selling end-to-end project solutions including design & build, refurbishment, fit-outs, fire & safety services, asbestos management, cooling systems and move management covering a full suite of workspace transformation services across diverse commercial markets. This role is designed for a highly motivated, self-directed salesperson with an existing network and proven track record driving £1m per year in self-generated turnover. We are not looking for someone dependent on provided leads; all candidates must bring their own contacts and deal flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Self-generate and deliver £1m annual turnover through proactive business development
- Source, qualify and close fit-out, refurbishment, construction and related commercial projects
- Leverage an established network of contacts across sectors such as corporate offices, property, developers, NHS/healthcare, education, public sector, retail, hospitality and more
- Build strong client relationships that lead to repeat and referral business
- Manage the full sales cycle from introduction to contract award
- Collaborate with internal operations, project delivery and technical teams to ensure successful outcomes
- Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting of pipeline, margins and conversion activity
Essential Requirements
- Proven record of self-generating £1m annual revenue in project-led sales
- Demonstrable experience selling construction / fit-out / interiors or bundled workspace solutions
- Existing, transferable client network capable of producing immediate opportunities
- Strong commercial sense with exceptional negotiation and closing skills
- Motivated, autonomous, and comfortable operating without reliance on internal leads
Commission Structure
- Commission paid on the gross profit of each job
- Trigger point: customer has paid in full
- Once work is rolling, monthly commission payments should follow where applicable
- Open to negotiation on commission paid on staged part-payments for larger projects, with final reconciliation upon completion

- Not a role reliant on marketing/lead-provided opportunities
- Not suitable for candidates without their own established business network
- Not an account management or junior sales position
