Fresh People are recruiting for a well-established fresh produce business based in Sevenoaks, Kent, operating within a fast-paced and time-critical FMCG supply chain. A Warehouse Operative is required to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is key to ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and dispatch of product across the warehouse operation.
The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring orders are picked, handled, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. You will play a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, supporting production, and ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and preparing orders for dispatch
- Manual handling of goods and palletised stock
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Completing warehouse administration tasks
- Use of hand scanners and warehouse systems
- Operating ride-on pallet trucks and other equipment
- Supplying product to the packhouse as required
- General housekeeping and maintaining a safe working environment
- Monitoring equipment and reporting any faults or issues
- Supporting the wider warehouse operation as required
Shift Pattern
Currently working 12:00 - 00:00 Moving to 14:00 - 02:00 (12-hour shifts) 4 days on / 4 days off rotation
About You
- Previous experience within a fresh produce warehouse environment is essential
- Ride-on pallet truck licence (current or recently expired)
- Good level of physical fitness
- Basic IT skills and confidence using warehouse systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
- Team player with a proactive approach
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
