Were looking for a Junior Technical Manager to join a leading fresh produce business, supporting both the internal teams and a major UK retailer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Technical Leadership team in upholding product safety, quality, legality, and integrity across the supply chain.
- Support on matters related to human rights, sustainability, and environmental standards (ESG).
- Liaise with internal teams and retail customers to deliver accurate technical reporting, including KPIs, complaints, shelf-life, waste, and intake assessments.
- Maintain and update retailer technical platforms and specification libraries.
- Assist in the organisation and follow-up of customer and supplier visits, ensuring clear next steps are communicated.
- Provide data and insight to support supplier reviews, category reports, and customer presentations.
- Conduct product stock reviews and assist in benchmarking, sample collection, and trial evaluations.
- Support site audits (UK & overseas), internal compliance reviews, and technical projects.
- Work closely with sourcing, packaging, and commercial teams to support innovation, packaging trials, and sustainability goals.
- Communicate effectively across departments to support the delivery of high-quality, compliant produce to the customer.
