Global Auditing Manager (Food Safety) UK or Europe based, Heavy International Travel

Recruiting on behalf of a leading fresh-produce group.

Location: Anywhere in the UK (home/base flexible)

Travel: Significant international travel across Europe & North Africa; with regular travel to West/East/Southern Africa and Asia.

Contract: Permanent, full-time

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Global Auditing Manager to uphold best-in-class food safety, integrity, environmental and ethical standards across a complex global supply base. You will plan and lead supplier audits, analyse trends, and drive corrective actions that protect customers and build supplier capability.

What you will do:

  • Plan, coordinate and conduct supplier audits globally (food safety, integrity/ethics, environmental).
  • Audit against internal standards and major UK retailer requirements; produce clear, timely reports.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and robust CAPA to closure, tracking actions and measuring improvement.
  • Maintain a live, risk-based audit schedule and support sites ahead of customer/third-party audits.
  • Investigate issues/incidents and co-own improvement plans with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyse non-conformance trends to inform training, prevention and continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with Responsible Sourcing, Technical/Quality and Commercial teams.

About you:

  • Proven food safety auditor with experience in fresh produce or closely related food/agri supply chains.
  • Strong working knowledge of GFSI/retailer standards and ethical/human rights due diligence.
  • Confident conducting on-site audits in diverse environments and cultures; resilient and self-sufficient.
  • Evidence of driving CAPA to completion and improving supplier performance at scale.
  • Excellent organisation, reporting and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Excel/PowerPoint/Word) for schedules, reporting and trend analysis.
  • Comfortable with frequent, sometimes short-notice international travel.
  • Languages: English: fluent (required); Strong advantage: Spanish and/or Arabic and/or French.
