Fresh People are recruiting for an experienced People & Culture Director to join an established and evolving organisation based in Canterbury, Kent. This is a senior leadership appointment for a commercially astute People professional who can shape the people agenda, strengthen organisational capability and support the continued development of the business.
Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will work closely with the senior leadership team to develop and deliver a cohesive People & Culture strategy aligned with the organisations commercial priorities and future direction.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver the Group-wide People & Culture strategy.
- Advise senior leaders on organisational priorities, people risks and workforce planning.
- Lead organisational development, succession planning and leadership capability.
- Support change, restructuring and transformation activity.
- Strengthen employee engagement, communication and culture.
- Oversee complex employee-relations matters and ensure legal compliance.
- Review and improve HR policies, systems, processes and reporting.
- Develop meaningful people metrics to support senior-level decision-making.
- Lead, mentor and develop the People team.
You will be a credible and experienced People leader with:
- CIPD Level 7 qualification.
- Previous experience as an HR Director, People Director or senior People & Culture leader.
- Experience working within a complex, operational or multi-site organisation.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR governance.
- Experience of organisational development, workforce planning and succession.
- The ability to influence and challenge at senior leadership level.
- A pragmatic, visible and commercially focused approach.
- Experience within a fast-paced, workforce-led, industrial, logistics, recruitment or service-based environment would be advantageous.
Salary of £100,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Flexibility may be considered for an exceptional appointment. Discretionary performance-related bonus. 6% employer pension contribution. Life insurance at three times annual salary. Car allowance. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Additional birthday day off after a qualifying period of service. Predominantly office-based, with flexibility for up to one home-working day per week where appropriate. Travel across Group locations as required. Normal working hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm, with the flexibility expected of a senior leadership appointment.
