Fresh People are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, growing chartered accountancy and advisory firm looking to appoint an Accounts & Audit Assistant Manager to join their established Accounts and Audit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who is ready to step into a more senior, client-facing role with responsibility, variety and clear progression. The firm is now private equity-backed and entering an exciting period of growth, with a clear strategy to scale across the South East and London. The Role

  • Delivering accounts and audit work for a varied client base
  • Taking ownership of assignments from planning through to completion
  • Leading client meetings and building strong client relationships
  • Supporting Partners and senior managers on client work
  • Reviewing work and mentoring junior team members
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Providing practical, commercially focused support to clients
  • Identifying opportunities to improve client service and add value
  • Working collaboratively across the wider accounts, audit and advisory teams

The Candidate

  • We are looking for someone who is proactive, solutions-focused and confident working with both clients and colleagues.
  • You will ideally have:
  • ACA or ACCA qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years experience within accountancy practice
  • Strong accounts and/or audit experience
  • Confidence leading client conversations and managing client relationships
  • Experience mentoring, supervising or supporting junior team members
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and tight deadlines
  • A positive, team-focused and growth-minded approach
