This is a fully office-based position and would suit an experienced audit professional who enjoys being hands-on with client assignments and wants exposure to a varied and interesting portfolio without the requirement to formally manage a team.

Working closely with Audit Managers, Directors and Partners, you will be responsible for delivering audit assignments across a diverse portfolio including owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger corporate clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation and review of statutory financial statements

  • Liaising directly with clients throughout the audit process
  • Resolving queries and building strong relationships with client finance teams and key stakeholders
  • Managing your own workload across multiple client engagements

  • Strong external audit experience gained within an accountancy practice preferred
  • Experience working across a varied client portfolio
  • Good knowledge of UK GAAP, financial reporting and auditing standards
  • Experience preparing and/or reviewing statutory financial statements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence dealing directly with clients
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
  • A commercial and proactive approach

You will benefit from:

  • Varied and high-quality audit exposure
  • Direct interaction with clients
  • Close working relationships with Managers, Directors and Partners
  • Exposure to wider accounts and advisory work
