Position Overview

They are seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Landscaping Team Leader to lead field crews in delivering outstanding landscaping projects and grounds maintenance services.

This role is ideal for a skilled landscaping professional who enjoys leading by example, managing teams, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate landscaping crews on a daily basis.
  • Plan and coordinate landscaping projects to ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Carry out and oversee soft and hard landscaping works, including planting, turfing, paving, fencing, decking, and garden construction.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct site inspections and maintain a safe, organised, and productive work environment.
  • Operate and maintain landscaping tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Allocate tasks effectively and monitor team performance.
  • Train and mentor team members, promoting professional development and best practices.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, suppliers, and management.
  • Complete site reports, job records, and health & safety documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or garden construction.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to read plans and manage projects from start to completion.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
