Our client is looking for a Landscape Construction Supervisor who holds a CSCS Black Card to join their team on a 6-month temporary contract with an immediate start. This is an important role within this friendly company. The role requires a confident individual who is conscientious and has a can-do attitude. A desire to gain additional knowledge in hard and soft landscape construction is preferred. The role requires a self-motivated and committed individual with excellent attention to detail. You would be required to work to tight deadlines in an efficient manner and uphold the company values.
The site for this role is in SW London.
Duties will include:
- Managing the construction/landscape team
- Day-to-day management of health and safety on site, including daily briefings and toolbox talks
- Site logistics, arranging and coordination of materials deliveries
- Groundworks, including excavations, foundations, drainage and services, subbases and concrete foundations
- Hard landscape, paving installation, including natural stone, clay and concrete products, edgings, occasional brickwork, occasional stone walling, decking and installation of other joinery products, fencing
- Soft landscape, excavations, grading, filling, preparation for planting, tree planting, shrub and herbaceous planting, simple irrigation schemes
- Keeping the site clean and safe of trip hazards, including site stores and site cabins
- Managing specialised staff and sub-contractors i.e. irrigation, lighting and water features
- Complying to and working with health & safety and quality procedures
You must hold a Black CSCS Card.
Personal Management:
- You are expected to arrive promptly for work and keep appointments when made
- You should always conduct yourself in a professional manner
- We expect all staff to join in with company events and socials where possible to help build relationships with fellow team members and to build team morale
- All staff are expected to uphold the company values as outlined in the employee handbook
