Our client is a growing design-and-build company delivering high-end residential and commercial gardens across Southwest London and Surrey. As their studio and projects continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced Landscaping Team Leader to oversee on-site delivery and support their commitment to exceptional quality.

The Role

This is a hands-on, site-based leadership role. You will lead a small team on residential landscaping projects, overseeing daily site operations and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Working closely with the Operations Manager and Directors, you will manage site setup, materials, team coordination, and quality control, while acting as a professional point of contact for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a landscaping team (typically 2–4 people)
  • Deliver high-quality hard landscaping works, including:
  • Paving (sub-base, laying, pointing)
  • Brick and block work
  • Timber work, decking, fencing, pergolas
  • Paths, edging, turfing
  • Water feature installation
  • Read and work from detailed drawings and specifications
  • Set out sites accurately, including levels
  • Manage materials, tools, and daily site logistics
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety and PPE compliance
  • Operate small plant machinery
  • Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and suppliers
  • Solve on-site challenges with a practical, solutions-focused approach
  • About You

    You are an experienced landscaper with strong leadership skills, pride in your workmanship, and the confidence to run a site professionally.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    • 3 years’ experience in landscaping teams on residential projects
    • Strong background in hard landscaping and landscape construction
    • Ability to read drawings and set out sites accurately
    • Solid understanding of health & safety requirements
    • Organised, proactive, and reliable
    • Full UK driving licence

    Desirable

    • Digger & Dumper ticket
    • ROLO Health, Safety & Environmental Awareness
    • CSCS card
    • Basic horticultural or planting knowledge
