They design, build and maintain a fantastic variety of gardens, from plush roof gardens in Chelsea to leafy sprawling gardens in Hampstead. They take pride in their work and strive for the best results and are known for offering a professional all round service from dedicated gardeners.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic gardener to join their garden maintenance team in the South West London area. They are looking for people that are hardworking, passionate about horticulture and possess a good understanding of horticultural practices. A positive, flexible attitude is essential, along with a willingness to learn and adapt to the garden's philosophy and principles.
Your experience must include essential gardening skills to maintain the gardens to the highest of standards. The role includes the safe use of power tools including strimmer, hedge cutter, lawn mower and leaf blower so you must be skilled in using all relevant gardening equipment.
Gardeners usually work in teams of 2 (Experienced Gardener & Gardener) and maintain up to 3 gardens per day.
The position of Experienced Gardener requires the ability to work both alone and as part of a team with initiative to deal with the seasonal pressures of the job. You will be responsible for a Gardener and maintaining the gardens to the highest standard, reflecting a sense of pride and ownership. You would also implement soft landscaping schemes for residential and commercial clients.
Applicants will require the following:
- A passion for gardening
- A minimum of 3 years experience in practical amenity horticulture
- Formal horticulture qualifications an advantage
- A good knowledge of plants, pruning, lawn care, pest and disease identification and treatment
- To be well presented and punctual
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
A full UK driving licence, CV and references are essential.
Salary: Circa £28-£31k depending on experience.
