Our Middlesex based client is seeking a dedicated Operations Assistant Manager to join their thriving Gardening Department. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Operations Manager in the overall management of the Gardening Department.
  • Support daily work dispatch by guiding supervisors and operatives.
  • Help in scheduling tasks and managing workloads.
  • Cover for the Operations Manager during periods of absence.
  • Address staff issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Provide quotes for one-off jobs, grounds contracts, and tree works.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Monitor and guide field operatives to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across the team.
  • Manage incoming client communications and maintain positive relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in grounds maintenance.
  • Proficiency with a range of garden machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of plants and trees.
  • A full, clean driving licence is essential.
  • Computer skills, emails etc.

Personal Attributes:

  • Presentable, self-motivated.
