Fresh Futures, established in 1974, is a regional charity focused on supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children, young people, and families across Kirklees and surrounding areas. Are you passionate about supporting other young people? Join Fresh Futures as an Elevate Ambassador and help create positive, inclusive spaces where young adults can build confidence, connections, and life skills. Jo Cox House, WF17 5DR, on Tuesdays, 1pm-3pm. Please note: This is a voluntary, unpaid role. Travel expenses are reimbursed. The Elevate programme supports young adults across Kirklees—particularly those not currently in education, employment or training—to improve their wellbeing, confidence, and social connections.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the delivery of workshops, group activities, and events
  • Help plan and organise engaging sessions for young people
  • Welcome and support participants, ensuring they feel comfortable and included
  • Act as a positive peer role model, encouraging confidence and participation
  • Contribute ideas to improve the programme and reach more young people

What we’re looking for:

  • Young adults aged 18–26 living in Kirklees
  • Friendly, empathetic, and supportive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for helping others build confidence and connections
  • Willingness to complete training and follow safeguarding procedures
