Full-time Department: Supply Chain and Operations (Non Driver or Operative Roles)

Compensation: up to GBP 65,000 - yearly

Annual Salary £65,000 plus £5,500 car allowance plus other great benefits

Shift Pattern: Days Monday - Friday with flexibility to work other shift patterns as per business needs when required. 40 hours per week

A satisfying role:

Our drivers take care of our customers. You’ll take care of them. Handling the day-to-day management, leadership & development of our entire transport department with a fleet of circa 130 and leading an overall team of circa 200 colleagues, you’ll see that our safety, service, cost and efficiency goals are exceeded. You'll be expected to analyse performance metrics to identify cost saving measures and optimise delivery routes. You’ll plan resources and support our team of Shift managers, Fleet Manager, Customer Service Manager and Trainers to keep our operations on the road and all our customers happy. And when a new customer joins us, you’ll work with them to understand and plan for what they need, whilst ensuring your team has the resource to provide it. Engagement and Culture within our teams is important to us and we're looking for a Manager who understands this is pivotal in our ever-changing environment.

What you bring to the mix:

  • An excellent communicator and leader with experience in managing a large fleet of multi-temperature HGVs and vans.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team with different service goals and moving KPIs and SLAs.
  • A background in working with fleet planning and utilisation.
  • Knowledge of health & safety and food safety.
  • The ability to develop and motivate a team.
  • An understanding of budgets and cost control.
  • A CPC, or be willing to gain one within your first year with us.
