Digital Marketing Manager

Fresh Direct, as part of Sysco GB, are embarking on an exciting period of transformation that will consolidate its position as the UK’s biggest wholesale greengrocer. Central to this is the development of a new transactional website that will revolutionize the approach to customer engagement and acquisition. Driving incremental sales and profitability and supporting a digital transformation across all customer touchpoints.
This role’s primary purpose is to develop, implement, manage and evolve the front end of the new Fresh Direct website, maximizing on-site performance, conversion, customer experience and engagement, which will deliver profitable growth.
What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee the day to day running of the front end of the Fresh Direct website, implementing design and content changes within the CMS
- Be subject matter expert within the team for all things CMS, supporting with campaign activations with the wider marketing team
- Liaise with the ecommerce team to develop appropriate mechanisms through analytics (GA4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio Hitjar etc) to monitor performance and customer behaviour
- Collaborate with design and development teams to implement UX/UI improvements
- Identify ways to enhance website capabilities and leverage digital marketing opportunities through channels such as PPC. Paid social, email and SEO
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience within Digital Marketing and demonstratable knowledge of core principles
- Excellent understanding and experience of website metrics and best practices
- Data and insight driven – with ability to interpret to make meaningful change
- Good understanding of CMS systems and other related tools – ideally SAP Hybris
- Good at handling time-sensitive projects and working to deadlines
- Good level of understanding of digital marketing channels i.e. PPC, social, display, email
- Fundamental understanding of SEO
- Comfortable working within a matrix environment
- Excellent relationship builder – both internally and with third-party agencies
- Self motivated, dynamic approach to work, able to work efficiently both independently and remotely
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities and project timelines
