This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours, working Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.
Responsibilities- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a range of commercial contracts, including framework, supply, service, and confidentiality agreements.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, ensuring accurate records, key milestones, and obligations are maintained including contract change management.
- Ensure contracts are compliant with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and approved commercial and pricing models.
- Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks, supporting dispute resolution where required.
- Provide practical contractual guidance to internal stakeholders across Commercial, Legal, Procurement, and Finance.
- Support tenders, RFPs/RFQs, and framework applications with contractual and commercial input.
- Maintain contract documentation within contract management systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through templates, processes, and contract awareness training.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Professional accreditation or membership in contract management, contract law, procurement, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in contracts or procurement, ideally within healthcare or a regulated commercial environment.
- Strong practical experience in contract drafting, negotiation, compliance, and contract lifecycle management.
- Sound understanding of tendering and procurement processes; public sector or NHS experience is desirable.
- High commercial and financial acumen, with confidence supporting pricing structures and commercial schedules.
- Proven ability to identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
- Confident communicator, able to translate complex contractual concepts into clear, pragmatic guidance.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and build trusted relationships.
- Proactive, solution‑focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
- Comfortable working with contract management systems and digital tools (e.g. SAP or similar), with strong Excel and document management skills.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
