We are looking for a proactive Healthcare Assistant to join our Neath Port Talbot Dialysis Unit. The role involves supporting a team of nurses and patients, maintaining a clean and safe treatment environment, and assisting with clinical treatments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare, restore and maintain areas and equipment for clinical treatments and investigations.
  • Ensure a safe environment for patients, relatives and visitors.
  • Assist with patient care during dialysis sessions, moving and lifting as required.
  • Use computer systems for patient records and documentation.
  • Follow strict procedures and quality management protocols.
  • Participate in regular training and guidance to develop expertise.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Experience in a healthcare setting, ideally as a Healthcare Assistant.
  • Preferably holds an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
  • Computer literate with good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships within a multidisciplinary team.

Employment details:

  • Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Working shifts from 6.30 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Sunday.
  • Regular training and support to develop expertise.
