As a Production Planner, you would be determining and maintaining a daily production plan in line with the available capacity including reactive adjustments and changes in patient status. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm and is based in Runcorn, Cheshire.
Responsibilities- Provide accurate and up-to-date information to Customer/Patient Services where backlog in production impacts customer service.
- Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to meet customer requirements for stocked items.
- Coordinate and plan new patient installs in accordance with the patient requirements whilst maintaining optimum business operating costs.
- Continually review production schedules in relation to the ASU’s defined capacity.
- Plan and schedule workflows, ensuring patient requirements are prioritized to meet specified delivery requirements.
- Plan the sequence for compounding activities and other manufacturing operations.
- Analyse and interpret construction of the bill of materials required for daily compounding activities.
- Monitor production versus plan and advise Managers of the potential issues.
- Attend daily production meetings to understand status in the ASU and communicate back to relevant departments required actions.
- Analyse requests for maintenance, repair and preventative maintenance and determine the scope of required work in relation to capacity.
- Assist with the planning and scheduling of work for shut down periods i.e. bank holidays.
- Review, resolve and escalate potential raw material and consumable shortages.
- Ensure training records are maintained in line with current procedures and SOP’s.
- Experience in the life sciences/Production sector would be ideal.
- Experience in a planning department within a similar role would be preferred.
- Good communication skills and a good team player.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Excel.
- No rota'd weekend working and no night shifts.
