At Calea we are dedicated to enabling patients on specialist medicines and clinical nutrition to receive their treatment at home. We work closely with the NHS to ensure seamless care between hospital and home and have a large team of dedicated professionals providing a high tech homecare service, ensuring each patient receives a package of care that is individualised to them.
We are looking to appoint a strategic and inspiring leader with a passion for driving excellence and achieving results. You will lead a team of Business Development Managers and will shape our national sales performance, develop talent and ultimately build our market share. This key role combines sales leadership, strong commercial acumen and the ability to lead from the front, building meaningful stakeholder and customer relationships.
Main Accountabilities:- Sales Delivery: Accountable for delivering profitable sales growth in line with operating budget and latest forecast and mid-term strategy (MTS).
- Management of costs: Overall responsibility for the BDM team budgets and target setting.
- Commercial Excellence: Driving sales effectiveness, optimising commercial strategies to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Service management and development: Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all Calea service level agreements are achieved through internal and external education and holding departments and customers to account.
- Marketing support: Input into and subsequently support the marketing strategy.
- Leadership: Achieve the highest standard of performance by leading, coaching and motivating the team to ensure business objectives are met.
- Change management: Analyse, recommend and implement opportunities to improve current ways of working, driving change to maintain the company’s competitive edge.
- Stakeholder management: Manage relationships with key opinion leaders/customers/industry in conjunction with Key Stakeholder Engagement Manager and Director Calea Homecare & Clinical Governance.
- CRM: Support and implement the ongoing development of the CRM system to ensure BDM activity is appropriately quantified and measured to ensure optimal performance.
- Proven sales leadership skills gained in the Healthcare or Pharma sectors.
- Relevant business, scientific or clinical degree/educational underpinning.
- Strong commercial acumen and data focused with good Excel skills.
- Emotionally intelligent with proven ability to cultivate strong, meaningful connections.
- Full driving licence with the willingness for national presence.
- Excellent knowledge of the NHS/Hospital/Secondary care environment.
