The Role We are looking to appoint an exceptional and commercially driven Head of Biopharma to lead the UK & Ireland markets. This is a key leadership role suited to a proven and strategic commercial leader with a market understanding of Biosimilars. The holder of the position will define and execute the strategy for each country while keeping necessary local flexibility, maintaining relationships with the relevant supporting functions within the MUs and holding overall budgetary responsibility. The successful applicant can be based anywhere in the UK, but regular travel to our base in Cheshire will be required.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Full P&L Accountability with responsibility for the strategic sales and marketing direction.
  • Lead the budgetary and forecast financial planning and reporting for the UK & Ireland.
  • Develop the business plan for the region ensuring delivery of the financial targets (Sales, EBIT & NWC).
  • Lead the commercial teams and support functions to deliver the business plan.
  • Standardise commercial and marketing processes across countries.
  • Ensure manufacturing forecasting aligns with the business plan.
  • Represent the biosimilar business in the different forums organised by the MUs Management Team.
  • Position FK biopharmaceutical to ensure its long-term viability and growth: spot regional opportunities, shared risks, and cross-market trends, developing initiatives that create synergy or economies of scale.
  • Represent FK voice in different forums such as the trade associations for Biosimilars.
  • Continuous development of the region organisation in terms of culture, people, processes, and tools.
  • Function as the main bridge between the BU and the countries in the cluster, ensuring the country voices are represented in the different forums set by the BU such as marketing & medical meetings.
  • Effective leadership, development, and recognition of the team, in line with FK guidance and principles.
  • Set a culture of ownership, collaboration and foster best practice sharing among the team and other clusters of the biosimilars BU.
  • Deep understanding of the local and FK regulations and compliance practices. Ensure all are well known and understood by the team, so the business practices are conducted accordingly.

Experience required:

  • Leadership experience gained within the Biopharma sector.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Strong and natural communicator with the ability to build strong stakeholder and customer relationships.
