The Frenchgate Shopping Centre is seeking professional, vigilant, and customer‑focused security professionals to join our on‑site security team. This is a dynamic, dual‑role position combining CCTV operations with front‑line mall security duties, playing a key role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors, retailers, and staff. This position requires full flexibility, with day, night, and weekend availability essential.
About The Role
As a Security Officer / CCTV Operator, you will be responsible for both control room operations and on‑the‑ground security presence. You will help protect people, property, and assets while delivering a high standard of service across the centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems in line with site procedures and legislation
- Conduct regular patrols of the shopping centre, including malls, back of house and external areas
- Maintain a strong, visible and professional security presence at all times
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
- Identify and report security risks, breaches, or suspicious activity
- Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports
- Support loss prevention in line with ASCONE and safety procedures
- Assist in investigations, including the retrieval and review of CCTV footage
- Carry out routine checks of all surveillance and security equipment
- Provide first aid when required
- Liaise with emergency services and support response coordination
- Work collaboratively with the wider security team and centre management
What We’re Looking For
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor/ Security guarding Licence – essential
- Valid SIA CCTV Licence – essential
- Previous experience in both security guarding and CCTV operations (full training will be provided)
- Strong observational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Clear and confident communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- A proactive, reliable, and team‑oriented approach
- Commitment to delivering high standards of safety and customer service
