Main duties: An exciting opportunity to secure inbound group business, convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, whilst ensuring profitable and seamless group operations.
The role:
- Drive new business by proactively identifying, qualifying, and pursuing leads for inbound group travel to Scotland
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry contacts to secure and grow group bookings
- Prepare competitive and creative quotes while negotiating supplier rates to maximise profitability
- Manage group itineraries from quotation to delivery, ensuring all services are booked correctly and deadlines are met
- Solve problems efficiently, adapt to changing client requirements, and handle pressure with confidence
- Stay up to date on Scotland's tourism products, market trends, and competitor offerings to craft compelling itineraries
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and operations to ensure smooth handovers and clear communication for all groups
- Maintain accurate records, manage client agreements and payments, and work in line with company procedures and core values
The candidate:
- Previous similar experience working for a tour operator or a DMC is essential
- Fluent in Italian or Spanish would be beneficial but not essential
- Knowledge of destinations within the UK and Ireland is a real asset
- Experience preparing and following on quotations required
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Proactive, dynamic, and ability to multi-task
- IT literate (MS Office)
- Able to work as part of a team as well as take initiatives
