The Company

Operating through a well-established distributor network, the company supplies industrial products across the UK and international markets and continues to invest in long-term growth.

Main Duties

  • To manage and grow sales across the UK, Ireland and Near Europe through distributor channels, developing strong commercial relationships, supporting product trials and demonstrations, identifying new business opportunities and delivering revenue, volume and gross margin targets.

The Role

  • Field-based sales position covering the UK, Ireland and Near Europe.
  • Manage and develop sales through an established network of distributors.
  • Build strong relationships with distributor owners, sales teams and product managers.
  • Conduct joint customer visits, product trials and technical demonstrations.
  • Identify, approach and onboard new distributor partners.
  • Develop new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
  • Monitor competitor activity, customer requirements and market trends.
  • Deliver revenue, tonnage and gross margin targets.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and territory development plan.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, trade exhibitions and industry events.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the company’s UK and export business.

The Candidate

Essential

  • Proven track record of success selling through B2B distribution channels.
  • Experience in industrial products, industrial consumables, manufacturing products or related technical solutions.
  • Strong business development, account management and territory management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to identify and convert new opportunities.
  • Comfortable delivering product demonstrations and supporting customer trials.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a field-based environment.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience working with distributor, reseller or channel partner networks.
  • Exposure to export markets or international sales environments.
  • Additional language skills such as Dutch, Flemish, French or German would be advantageous, particularly for Benelux markets.
  • Arabic language skills would also be welcomed for future opportunities across the Middle East and Africa.
  • Previous leadership or management experience would be beneficial, although this is not a heavily people-management-focused role.
