We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK engineering company seeking a French-speaking Senior Accountant to play a key role in aligning UK and French accounting practices during an exciting period of business transformation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a bilingual accounting professional who enjoys working in an international environment and acting as the bridge between UK and French finance teams.
The role is based in Manchester-Liverpool area.
ROLE of the Senior Accountant:
- Coordinating financial information and documentation between the UK and France
- Supporting the harmonisation of UK GAAP/IFRS and French accounting standards
- Assisting with post-acquisition accounting integration and ERP migration
- Producing monthly financial reports and bilingual management dashboards
- Supporting month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting
- Liaising daily with French and UK stakeholders and translating technical accounting discussions
- Supporting audit, tax and acquisition-related finance activities
PROFILE:
- Fluent French and English (written and spoken)
- Strong knowledge of UK and French accounting principles (UK GAAP/IFRS)
- Experience with month-end close, financial reporting and reconciliations
- Good understanding of financial consolidation
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
