Ambitious international Tech manufacturing company is looking to recruit a General Accountant for the BENELUX area. This is a key role responsible for financial accounting of Benelux including French GAAP and statutory accounts, cash monitoring, tax and statutory compliance. The role of the General Accountant is London based with three days in the office and two days WFH.
ROLE of BENELUX General Accountant:
- All aspects of BENELUX Financial Accounting including:
- Producing monthly accounts (P&L & Balance sheet) under Dutch GAAP and statutory GAAP.
- Reconciling and analysing the Monthly Balance sheet.
- Monitoring cash position and providing cash-flow reports.
- Ensuring compliance to Dutch tax & statutory requirements.
- Monitoring procedures and making suggestions to improve processes in compliance with SOX rules.
- Maintaining the AP & AR ledgers.
- Ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Liaising with local auditors.
- Role will be extended to UK Finance team support as needed.
PROFILE of BENELUX General Accountant:
- Excellent knowledge of all aspects of BENELUX accounting.
- Three yearsβ experience in a similar role as General Accountant or Senior Accountant.
- Knowledge of Sage X3.
- Tax expertise.
- Attention to detail, ability to plan time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Part Qualified Accountant.
- Benelux Experience desirable.
- Three Key Competencies:

- Result and achievement orientation.
- Ability to speak Dutch would be advantageous although is not a firm requirement.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
- Basic up to Β£45k to Β£55k according to experience.
