Healthcare Professionals are needed to provide medical services to supplement the medical staff in support of the Military Treatment Facilities and Health Clinics within US Army Medical Command, Regional Health Command Europe and for other Department of Defense (DoD) agencies including US Navy and US Air Forces in Europe.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Diploma
- Education: High School or higher
- Experience: Three years cumulative overall experience in the following areas:
- Two years experience with U.S. Military Healthcare delivery system and benefits or civilian managed care medical/administrative environment and/or
- Two years working experience in a medical office or clinical environment and
- One year experience with the Composite Health Care System (CHCS)
- Fluency in English
- Fully qualified typist 50 WPM
- General medical ethics, telephone etiquette, excellent communication and customer service skills
- General office administrative and clerical skills to perform receptionist duties
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
- Medical terminology desired
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Greets patients/visitors at a front desk, information center or office setting.
- Answers main office phone line. Directs telephone calls to appropriate section for assistance. Takes messages as required.
- Arranges and schedules medical appointments and determines patient eligibility for services.
- Obtains updates and files medical records as needed.
- Ensures arrival of medical records prior to appointment(s).
- Performs other administrative and clerical duties in support of the medical care and operational support.
This position is eligible for support under the NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) supplemental agreement articles 72 or 73.
