Overall Purpose of the Role
This role is responsible for the receipt and processing of materials, and associated elements and metadata through localisation studios and access services partners globally. The Localisation Coordinator will ensure that the content is technically ready with all the required assets present for localisation and/or accessibility. Working alongside the wider Global Media Operations teams for delivery schedules, file ingest, and version creation as needed. The role involves ensuring the Media Supply Chain workflow applications are populated with relevant data and localisation studios and access services partners can deliver files. This role will be across style guides, casting, and QC requirements for each project. Communication must be maintained with all departments to manage materials through systems and studios. This role is responsible for supporting best practices, troubleshooting any material or workflow challenges in the localisation/accessibility arena to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, culturally resonant content and/or output that meets industry standards.
Main Objectives of the Role
- Main point of contact for end-to-end localisation processes for each allocated project/title from quote initiation to material delivery
- Using Media Supply Chain systems track delivery schedules and maintain localisation associated metadata
- Preparing materials through the content supply chain workflow onward to vendors with agreed rates and timelines
- Liaise with the dubbing studios and the client for casting requirements
- Manage the workflow for approval of script translations and QC of localised version pre-ingest for technical and editorial adherence
- Manage file rejections appropriately with both clients and studios, escalating to senior co-ordinator when necessary
- Work alongside the wider operational team to ensure localisation masters, versions and or elements are archived appropriately
- Support onward fulfilment to multiple end points.
- Maintaining standard operating procedures, KPIs and SLAs
- Support localisation by external clients with which Fremantle has an exercisable ‘right of access’ for potential repurposing (secondary sales, consumer products etc.)
Knowledge and Skills
- Experience in Localisation Operations
- Demonstrable knowledge of localisation technologies
- An understanding of the end-to-end Media Supply Chain workflow
- A good level of communication and diplomatic demeanor
- The ability to prioritise in a time pressured environment, use initiative to proactively pre-empt challenges and find resolutions
- An understanding of regional localisation sensitivities and standards
- Language skills are not essential but would be an advantage, with a strong preference for fluency in German, Latin American Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese.
