The role
Assist in the management of all financial aspects of Media Asset Management and FAST Channels within the Commercial & International division.
Key Responsibilities
- Media Asset Management
- A newly formed legal entity that manages delivery of Fremantle shows to internal and external clients.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Forecast & budget preparation and entry into group reporting packs.
- Work with the Cash, Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable teams to manage the invoicing process for the business.
- Ensure revenue recognition rules and policies are adhered to.
- Analysis of the accounting and commercial data, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the Shared Service Centre on commercial matters relating to the business, including handling audit queries and monitoring of internal financial controls.
- Ad Hoc projects and analysis as required.
- A key area of growth for the division, relating to free, ad-supported streaming services mainly in the US.
- Monitor the FAST Channel Revenue Tracker monthly for data accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare FAST Channel revenue summaries for upload into financial system.
- Ensure AVOD revenue uploads align with external platform statements.
- Manage PowerBI data ingestion and respond to related queries.
- Review invoices and provide appropriate coding for FAST-related costs.
- Assist with cost allocation coding across departments.
- Post month end journals and accruals under supervision.
- Support audit queries and documentation requests.
- Maintain summaries of signed FAST contracts and ensure documentation is current.
- Help with queries and reviews on contracts and ad hoc commercial reports.
- Also to work on Ad-hoc projects as necessary, such as assisting with the accounting of overseas sales offices.
Skills and Experience
- Training Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- SAP / Business Warehouse experience desirable.
- Excel (Medium/Advanced Level Required).
- Attention to detail & experience working to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
