The Role
This role is a key part of the central finance function within the Corporate Head Office. The successful candidate will provide finance and administrative support to the Corporate Accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Agreement and preparation of internal recharges to other UK businesses and departments, via SAP journals. Internal recharges include:
- Flight and Hotel costs
- Hospitality and taxi costs
- Mobile phone costs
- Preparation of invoices to third parties and intercompany partners with thorough supporting back up documentation. Communication with the receiving party to reach agreement prior to invoicing.
- External charges include:
- Central IT, Legal, Marketing and Events costs
- Flying Producer fees and Flying Producer expenses
- Global Drama and Documentaries investment recoupment
- Management Fees (statutory recharges)
- Other Ad Hoc recharges as required
- Assisting with the payment process for multiple head office departments, creating Purchase Orders, vendor set up, invoice validation and approval process.
- Dealing with queries related to any outgoing or incoming invoices above from third parties, intercompany partners and from other finance teams (e.g., Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable).
- Requesting the setup of hedge facilities for incoming payments received in foreign currencies.
- Support the Business Services Group with any issues relating to the reconciliation of intercompany balances.
- General administrative tasks and support for the team.
- Ensure efficiency of process and pro‑actively identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Potential Opportunities for Development
- Assist in the month end process, posting journals, accruals and prepayments.
- Assist with the annual budget process and quarterly forecasting.
Skills and Experience
- Self‑starter who can equally thrive in an environment where they need to take the initiative and work independently, or work closely with the Senior Corporate Accountant and other team members.
- Highly organised with attention to detail.
- Intermediate level Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Record of effective collaboration across teams through study projects or work experience.
