The Role

The Global Content Team sits within Fremantle International and evaluates and acquires rights in commercially attractive television properties / IP / brands for international distribution. The Content Acquisitions Coordinator is responsible for managing the acquisitions pipeline, maintaining critical data systems, supporting the projections and content evaluation process, and ensuring seamless communication across Sales, Marketing, Rights, Materials, Finance, and Producers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Systems Tracking & Data Management: Maintain and update Phoenix daily with all scripted programme information. Keep the Acquisitions Tracker and Power BI Delivery Tracker up to date. Populate and update post-production schedules and ensure accurate filing. Ensure all screeners and delivered materials are uploaded to FMS and visible to relevant teams. Track and chase missing data in CRM including projections and other required fields. Maintain pitch documents, USPs, artwork, press coverage, and metadata ahead of each LS, MIPTV, and MIPCOM. Take minutes for key meetings and agendas as required.
  • Projections Packs & Reporting: Manage the full bi-weekly projections process including preparing agendas for Content Pitch calls, collating projections packs, circulating internally, and pulling together projections into pre-populated Excel sheets for approval. Draft first versions of the MIPCOM or Spring Buyers Books lists. Draft first versions of Content Packs for new titles. Draft first-draft IC Papers. Update and circulate the bi-weekly scripted update. Draft post-market and post-MIP reports. Update the 6-weekly deck and operational review lists.
  • Workflow & Cross-Department Communication: Act as the main point of contact for all sales coordinator queries. Run Ops Meetings tracking delivery timelines, identifying slippages, and flagging concerns. Liaise with Rights, Marketing, Materials, Communications, and Sales teams to ensure aligned information flow. Watermark and distribute scripts/materials for internal and external teams. Request ratings data from Insights; update Phoenix trackers and bi-weekly reports.
  • Market & Event Coordination: Support preparation for scripted markets and screenings ensuring early tracking of screening materials. Coordinate with producers, AV, and marketing teams to ensure assets are prepared and delivered on time. Assist with organising producer events and internal screenings as needed. Organising and running the pre-MIP sales conference.
  • Submissions & Evaluation Support: Maintain and organise all incoming scripted submissions for the team. File materials correctly and keep submission pipelines updated. Support senior team members with first-draft documentation for investment discussions.
  • Team & Administrative Support: Act as central point of contact for internal/external scripted enquiries. Manage logical efficient filing of all programme legal and finance documentation. Prepare meeting notes, round-ups, and resource packs as needed.

Key Skills

  • Able to demonstrate a keen interest in programmes and the broader media industry.
  • A strong capability in handling large volumes of data and using relevant software.
  • Ability to produce very accurate work with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of the TV landscape especially scripted.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills across departments and seniority levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
  • Comfortable with numbers and able to analyse and clearly interpret data.
  • Comfortable with creative writing and have the ability to condense and pithily summarise editorial.
  • Fluent in Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems.
  • Positive pro-active can-do attitude.
