We are seeking a highly analytical Data Migration Specialist to support a critical SAP S4HANA implementation. This role will provide day-to-day operational support to the Migration Data team and act as the triage lead during migration rehearsals and Cutover activities.
As business teams execute data loads, you will be the first line of defence in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving load failures across all functional modules. You will play a key role in ensuring that deadlines are met for all migration deliverables during each phase of the SAP implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Triage and Troubleshooting
- Monitor active data loads and immediately investigate any errors or fallouts
- Root Cause Analysis
- Identify whether failures are data-related issues such as formatting or missing values or technical issues such as IDoc errors, mapping logic, or BAPI failures
- Defect Management
- Document technical or mapping errors and raise formal defects with the implementation partner
- Business Advisory
- Work directly with Business Data Leads to explain issues and advise on data cleansing and correction
- Cross Module Support
- Provide expertise across Master Data including Material, Vendor, Customer, Finance, and Transactional Data
- Proven experience in at least one full cycle S4HANA migration
- Strong Excel expertise
- Deep understanding of SAP data structures across FI, CO, MM, SD, and PP
- Understanding of SAP core processes including OTC, SD, SM, PTP, and RTR
- Ability to read error logs and trace issues back to source data fields or system configuration
- Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills
- Delivery focused and collaborative team player
- Ability to explain complex SAP errors to non-technical business users in plain English
- Comfortable working in fast-paced and time-critical data load environments
- Exposure to other enterprise systems such as Sales or Service CRM is beneficial
