We’re looking for warm, reliable and guest‑focused Retail & Front of House Team Members to join our hospitality team at Bolney Wine Estate. This flexible, casual role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy visitor environment, and wants to be part of a friendly, supportive team. As part of our Front of House operation, you’ll help create memorable experiences for every guest — whether they’re browsing our retail shop, joining a tasting, enjoying the café, or attending one of our events. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service, supporting wine sales, and representing the Bolney brand with pride. Shifts are primarily available at weekends, with additional hours during peak periods, school holidays and events.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide warm, friendly and professional service to all visitors
  • Support the day‑to‑day running of the shop, including serving customers, processing sales and answering product queries
  • Use POS systems accurately and follow all till, payment and service procedures
  • Maintain an attractive, clean and well‑stocked retail environment, replenishing shelves and supporting stock rotation
  • Promote wines, gifts and retail products confidently (full training provided)
  • Assist with wine tastings, tours, café service and events when required
  • Support opening, closing, set‑up and clear‑down tasks
  • Respond professionally to guest questions or feedback, escalating to a Duty Manager when appropriate
  • Follow company policies, licensing requirements, health & safety procedures and service standards

What we’re looking for:

  • Customer‑facing experience in retail, hospitality or Front of House (preferred but not essential)
  • Warm, confident communication and strong teamwork skills
  • Reliability & flexibility - willingness to support different areas of the business
  • Comfort in busy environments and a proactive, positive attitude
  • Weekend availability, plus school holidays, peak trading periods and occasional events
  • Interest in wine and willingness to learn
  • Right to work in the UK and reliable transport due to our rural location
